The winds of change are blowing strong across the diverse lands of the Arab World – the Middle East and North Africa. A lot has happened in the region recently, and what seemed insurmountable only a month ago, no longer stands today. These events have caught the world by surprise, and the changes seem to be coming one after another at an unprecedented rate. History is being made daily as we sit and watch. Governments are nervous. The oppressed emboldened. Are God's people ready?

In light of the recent events in Tunisia, Egypt and other Arab nations there are many groups positioning themselves to control the future of the region. What should we be doing? Are we content to sit back, wait and see what happens and take action when things have settled? Or do we believe we can stand up and steer the winds of change now, working with God to make history.

The power we hold to direct the paths and purposes of these blowing winds is our prayers of intercession. It is time to seek Him to direct the stormy winds as he once did on the sea.

On Friday, March 4 we will gather to pray for the Arab World. We invite you to join us in doing so. Will you set aside March 4, or a portion of it, to join in praying for this shifting region?
