YWAM's regional leaders requests prayers for the nation of Ivory Coast, as despite the end of recent violence, the situation for local residents remains dangerous and unpredictable.

Friends in the nation are prisoners in their own homes, with no means of obtaining food or help. Religious tension is being added to political tension as local Christian workers fear the threat of genocide aimed at southern tribes and Christians from political leaders who have openly allied with traditional animist practices intended to increase spiritual powers.

Your prayers for this nation are urgently requested. Pray especially for one family known to be hiding in their home with rebel forces fighting nearby, for safety and courage for all believers in this nation, and for the power of God to overcome.
